Round 3 Report; Canada Heights, Kent, 24th & 25th July

The third round of the MX Nationals British Championship attracted a large crowd of spectators who were treated to close and fast racing on a well-prepped track, under gloriously sunny skies.

The weekend will also saw the return of the Steven Lenoir memorial trophy, with a terrific turnout of riders, families and friends for a ‘family’ photo opportunity on Saturday evening.

Crendon Fast Track Honda’s Tommy Searle took two moto wins to claim the overall in the Michelin/Milwaukee Pro MX1, with fellow team member Jake Nicholls on the second step of the podium and Josh Gilbert, Par Homes Husqvarna, in third. Jake Millward of Verde KTM took the opening race win, while Evgeny Bobryshev, also riding for Par Homes Husqvarna, secured first place in the final moto.

The Pro MX2 class was headed by John Adamson of Gabriel KTM. Florian Miot of Par Homes Husqvarna, took second and Crendon Honda’s team third member Jay Hague was third. Steven Clarke on his ASA United Gas Gas was first across the finish line in race one. Adamson went on to win the second race, Miot the third and then Adamson rounded off a successful day with a win in the last Pro MX2 outing.

The MX Nationals has also welcomed a couple of new sponsors to the fold in the form of Carless Fuels and Gritty People. Carless provides vouchers at each round for a drum of Carless race fuel – Clubman MX1 rider Matthew Pocock and Clubman MX2 rider Jake Taylor were the happy recipients of the vouchers at Canada Heights. Gritty People sponsors the MX Nationals finish line with branding.
