We grabbed five minutes with our first ever Amateur Champion Kieran Yorke and what it took be take the title this season.
Amateur MX1 MX Nationals British Champion, sounds pretty good to us!
Yeah, sounds mega! Going into the first round and it being Hawkstone I didn’t really set my goal too high but after coming away with 1st overall I thought I was in with a good chance on winning the championship.
Three out of four round wins, that’s a solid year! Did you work hard in the winter to be strong at all the rounds?
Yeah, at the start of the year I went over to Belgium trying to get some time in on the sand and working next to Rusty (Personal Trainer) for my fitness off of the bike. But obviously COVID then came and I didn’t get out on the bike for a good 2 months and then when everything started opening again, I was trying to do as much as I could do to get back bike fit again.
I guess you’ll be back for more in 2021, but now in the Expert MX2 class. What’s your goals for 2021?
Yeah, definitely be back for 2021 and going into the expert class, my goal to get into the top 10 in all of the rounds.
